About us

We are a multi-regional children’s charity, the first of its kind to be dedicated to the empowerment of young people through the art and craft of songwriting.

We have worked with more than 5000 Gloucestershire children since 2012, thanks to the dedicated support of our patrons, funders, donors, partners and sponsors, offering each of our participants the unique opportunity to collaborate with their peers to write, rehearse, perform and record their own original songs.

Please take a look at the video opposite, to give you an idea of the impact on the young people.

What We Do & Why

With the distinct aim of enhancing self-esteem and mental health through songwriting, our work enables children to develop a positive outlook on the world, open up horizons and help overcome life-limiting challenges.

All of our songwriting courses (from one day workshops to year round projects) involve a complete and student led songwriting process culminating in live performances and recordings which are uploaded to the internet and shared with the world.

This tried and tested formula has had a profound effect on even the most unlikely young songwriter..

Our Vision

Over the coming months we’re looking to establish further relationships with additional partners, funders and sponsors to support the growth of the Songwriting Charity in the next five years and so ensure this inspiration can continue to change the lives of many more children in Gloucestershire.

How can you help?
