Meet some of The Project K fundraising team
Paul James Newton![]() Paul is a professional wedding and commercial photographer based in South Wales. He focused on photography at college and art school, eventually being awarded a degree in film from the International Film School Wales. Paul spent ten years as a professional camera operator and editor, working on both commercial and corporate projects before returning to his photographic roots and setting up his own business.
There was one other thing he loved as a kid, trips to the mountains, and quality time spent enjoying the great outdoors with his father and brother, exploring new places and enjoying real adventures together. Paul told us, "It’s that sense of adventure, and an unknown outcome that I’m looking forward to experiencing with a new group of people over a tough 24 hour period in May. Working together, motivating each other and pushing one another on to the finish line. It’s been quite a few years since I covered such distances in the mountains, so training is well underway, but I’m sure it will be an amazing journey for an amazing cause." Super talented and with a clear knack for scaling peaks, we're so pleased that Paul is part of the Project K team. Hopefully it won't be the last time we can convince him to don his 'superman' cape and take on another challenge. https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/pauljamesnewton1 Scott Cohen![]() Scottie, as we fondly know him and call him, is a fun loving guy who gains great happiness in raising money for charity!
Scottie has called this the "best challenge yet!.... and how I got roped in i'm not quite sure but I know the team will be fantastic and the young people will love the stories that emerge from it. I can't wait to get going!" Too right Scottie! We know how you got "roped into it". Nathan used his Jedi powers and that was that! Seriously, it's because you are a thoroughly top chap and when you set your mind on something, you get on with it! We're proud that you are part of the Project K team. As Scottie states in his BTMyDonate profile, "donate as much or as little as you can and get behind me and the songwriting charity team." We're behind you all the way mate! https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/scottcohen1 |
Joey & Rebecca Davies![]() Joey and Rebecca Davies are a husband and wife team from Cardiff. They have three children and work together running Clear Choice, a property maintenance company.
"We've been fans of the Songwriting Charity's work for a long time and are thrilled that Project K will enable children in Cardiff to benefit from their inspirational workshops. It's a pleasure to be doing the Three Peaks with such a great group of people and we can't wait to raise lots of money for them." Rebecca & Joey are not just climbing the Three Peaks, they are helping us raise further funds through events, and they are opening doors and building some links for us ahead of our first fully fledged Songwriting Charity project in Wales. We can't thank them both enough for their encouragement and support! https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/becandjoey Lubomira Rozanova![]() My name is Luba Rozanova, I am originally from Bulgaria, but moved to the United States when I was 10 years old. I relocated with my family as we had a contract with two world renowned circuses, Ringling Brothers and Big Apple Circus. My family's acrobatic achievements include, performance for the Queen's Silver Jubilee, Gold Medals at the Circus Festival in London and a Silver Clown at the prestigious Monte Carlo Circus Festival, (awards were presented by Princess Grace Kelly, Prince Reiner and Princess Stephanie). We settled in Sarasota Florida where I received first class honors in Biomedical Sciences.
I have always been very involved with charity work to help children. While at the University of Central Florida I joined the Sorority Alpha Xi Delta, supporting the charities Autism Speaks, Habitat for Humanity, and Ronald McDonald House. While in High School I was a member of the Why Me Global Relief club through which I participated in a week long trip to Guatemala to deliver school supplies and to help rebuild school houses. We're thrilled that Luba and her employers Itper the education recruiter are getting behind us. Luba is also participating in the Three Peaks challenge in memory of her late father, Nikolay Rozanov. Rock on Luba! https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/lubarozanova1 |
