The Songwriting Charity ยท Songwriting Charity Sports Tracks Dartford FC Womens Euros 2022

Lizzie Adams, captain of Dartford FC Women’s Team, recently heard about the DFC Songwriting Programme so Lizzie and members of the team have kindly recorded a congratulations message for the children involved.
Sports Tracks
The key outcome of the 'Sports Tracks' songwriting workshop is an original sports anthem for your school or community group.

We will begin the day with a series of activities as warms up and creative exercises. Participation in these fun activities will then form the basis of a fantastic sports anthem, focusing on exploring life’s challenges through the metaphor of an aspiring champion.

We explore our feelings around the following themes:
  • What makes a champion?
  • Competition;
  • Winning and Success;
  • Coping with loss/defeat;
  • Hope and team spirit;
  • Team work;
  • Friendship and championing one another.

We finish the day by listening to the song, followed by a coming together to reflect on and evaluate their achievements.

Sports Tracks outcomes:
  • An original song written by your children, for their peers and your school;
  • Up to 25 children (or one class) participating at your school in the songwriting workshop;
  • Increased understanding and appreciation of participation, teamwork, inclusion and having fun with your peers;
  • Positive peer-to-peer role modelling;
  • Children will have gained an understanding of the creative process of how a song is written and produced to a professional standard;
  • We will continue working with your school following your workshop. As a Songwriting Charity Partner you can ensure a creative legacy is in place.
